Whether it be churches, schools, homes, or governments, an enemy operating from within the ranks is the most insidious of all enemies. Once within the ranks the enemy can not only blend in, but can also grow in strength and influence while being sustained by the very order or institution he or she wishes to conquer and control.
While most of us were still sleeping in blissful ignorance a new religion was dawning on the horizon of post-modernism. Most of us were unaware of the velocity of its cross-currents against traditional values, until we were awakened by the unreasonable vertigo of its hurricane forces slamming our shores, even undermining the very foundations of our nations founding.
Did the founding fathers of the greatest government to live with on earth make mistakes? Indeed they did. Were they perfect? Indeed not. But this they had; sin was defined by the Bible. Righteousness was defined by the Bible. Damnation was defined by the Bible. They may not always have rightly understood the Bible, but the Bible was, nonetheless, honored as the infallible Word of God written for all people and all generations to live by as best they could. As such, it was to be the founding principle of all law, the compass that always pointed true north and by which law found its equilibrium and direction. Thus, though we cannot laud our founding documents as always religiously pure, yet they were an honest attempt by honest men to be realistic about the lower nature of mankind and the needs for laws to restrain that lower nature and to encourage the good.
We have an enemy within the ranks. It is called Woke. And we may call it a religion, methinks, as it has the construct and tenets of a religion, a twisted form of Christianity even, the timeless concepts of which it has taken and construed to mean something entirely different than the original definitions.
Though there is no known compilation of its doctrines as such, yet there is an ever-increasing understanding of its teaching and influence. To be Woke is to cower and capitulate. To be Christian is courageously adhering to and standing with Christ, no matter what. Christianity seeks to understand and apply the Word of God. Wokeism redefines words and concepts. Being born into "privilege" is now the ultimate "sin." In this cowering world of Woke, "victimhood" is now righteousness, and the ultimate damnation, to be avoided at all costs, is cancellation. Cancellation is being increasingly used against constitutional rights and privileges. Perhaps President Donald J. Trump was painfully correct when he said to conservative Americans, "They're not after me; they are after you. I'm just in their way." And there seems to be less and less standing between Christianity and persecution. Will the next wave of persecution come in the form of cancellation? A cancellation of truth that the present administration is already capitulating to. I have been told that the ultimate expression of hatred is to be ignored. And yes, id does seem as if this may well be the devils' next insidious expression of hatred for the church of Jesus Christ.
God forces no one. He has limited Himself to drawing us to Himself with His love. He will someday judge the world, and though sin would condemn us, timely repentance softens our hearts to God. The righteousness of Christ, by His death, burial, and resurrection redeems us. And damnation is canceled because, instead of sin, God see the Blood!
