As this letter written Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2016, carries in it a relevant warning I have thought to print it here in the public domain:

Dear Donald Trump, President-elect of the United States of America,

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name.

I am thanking the Lord this morning that you have been elected to the highest office in this, our once great country. I am thankful, not because you are perfect, as I expect you are not, for God's Word says, “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." And, "If one died for all, then were all dead," so all of us need Jesus, who "is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.” (Rom 3:23, II Cor 5:14, I Cor 1:30)

I am thankful that you have retained much respect for God's Word, even while many of our dear countrymen who bask in the after-glow of a country made great by God's providential care, turn away from the very one who has so blessed us.

I am thankful that you, and those around you, are willing to stand up and reverse the direction of the anti-God liberals who would, in the false name of "progress" and "moving forward” continue to take this, our great country, on a moral free-fall that can have only one logical conclusion; that of anarchy against any and all restraints thus paving the way for a tyrannical government presenting itself as the answer.

As you and all conservatives know, a free society with its many and obvious advantages is the safest society in which to live so long as the baser passions of its people are restrained by their conscience being attached to God through His Spirit and Word, revealing an authority more powerful and holy than ourselves. Removing God and His Word from that equation as the liberals will to do in our once great country, and, to a greater or lesser degree, already have done in their own lives, leaves only one other option open to them, that of being controlled by their baser passions governed only by perceived consequences of actions.

I am a 56-year-old dad and now grandpa who is committed, together with my family, to pray daily for your safety and for all conservatives committed to reversing the moral free-fall and departure from the Constitution of the United States of America.

The founding fathers of our once great country, being heavily influenced by the Bible, believed in freedom of religion in the context of a free church, as opposed to a State Church having spiritual jurisdiction over all citizens. They did not believe in freedom from religion...!

Having been born and raised in Lancaster Co. Pennsylvania and now residing in South Dakota, I am a very thankful beneficiary of both the free church, and the government of the United States of America, whose long-standing benevolence for a free church allowed the free exercise of Christianity according to conscience.

Now the liberals would have us believe that freedom of religion means giving equal recognition and honor to all religions no matter how vile and even demonic their beliefs and covert practices, while at the same time outlawing major tenets of Christianity from our public schools and property under the guise of "separation of church and State." The founding fathers of our country, whose expressed desire it was to be "One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all; would have God on their side in condemning such pervasive hypocrisy.

I will not weary you, Mr. President, by enumerating the many ways and means of the liberals to free us from moral absolutes, for you well know them, and likely know them better than I do. I just wanted to let you know how thankful that I am for the outcome of this election and give you at least a small glimpse into the many reasons for my thankfulness.

We are committed to praying daily for you, Mr. Donald Trump, President-elect of the United States of America, for you, Mr. Mike Pence, Vice President-elect, and for all those who are committed with you to "make America great again" by returning to its foundation.

There is no sense in “progress” and "moving forward" when that "progress” and "moving forward” is in actuality a moral free-fall into the abyss of anarchy and self-destruction. "They who will not learn from history are destined to repeat its mistakes.”

We are committed to praying daily that God will give you wisdom in leading this nation as “One nation under God” and in so leading that God will grant you protection from any who may have it in their heart to harm you. And we are committed to praying for you when the liberal media attempts to discredit you with all manner of calumny, as they likely will. Being President of the United States of America may well call for the greatest exercise of humility that you've ever had in your life thus far.

But take heart, Mr. President, even in the midst of this spiritual battle, (for it is a spiritual one), for, "If God be for us who can be against us?” He will prevail. And if at times all seems lost in this life, He will prevail in the next.

God bless you, Mr. President, may His face shine upon you and give you peace.

And may we together, by faithfully adhering to God's Word, "Make America Great Again.”

Thanking God while committing the future into His hands.

Jesus Lives!
