Have the hippies of yesteryear merely gotten haircuts or coiffures, taken showers, donned business suits, and now occupy seats in boardrooms, halls of Congress, the Senate and possibly even the White House itself? The hippy era was born about the time I was, in 1960. I was a boy during the Cold War when McCarthyism was still alive and well. And with dismay I have, during the four years of the Trump wake-up call, been awakened to the covert encroachment of Marxism upon American life and institutions.

Marxism

  • Anti-Capitalist socialism

  • Promotes and exploits a victim mentality among workers

  • Traditional family undermined with Marxist ideology

  • Replace God with whatever feels right

  • Lavish leadership lifestyles

  • Systemic squashing of the middle class

  • Forceful taking for wealth redistribution

  • Atheistic rejection of God

  • Moral bankruptcy

  • Narcissism sinks into nihilistic anarchy (think murdering millions of citizens)

Hippyism

  • Anti-establishment socialism

  • Promotes and exploits a victim mentality among young people

  • Traditional family undermined with “free love” ideology

  • Replace God with “If it feels good, do it”

  • Recreational drug lifestyles

  • Disdain for the middle class

  • Wealth redistribution through “sponging”

  • God replaced with “whatever works”

  • Moral bankruptcy

  • Narcissism sinks into nihilistic anarchy (think 1969 Manson murders, Stonewall, etc)

Left-wing policies

  • Socialist equality outcome

  • Promotes and exploits a victim mentality among minorities

  • Traditional family undermined by Socialist and LGBTQ ideology

  • Replace God with “It’s right if it makes me feel good”

  • Policies seemingly designed for convenience and votes

  • Disregard for middle class opinions

  • Wealth redistribution through taxation

  • God when convenient for votes

  • Moral bankruptcy

  • Narcissism sinks into nihilistic anarchy (think burnings, lootings, and abortions)

These parallels are a process and opinions may vary on where we (as in U.S.A.) are in that process, but much of the lists above are now history and the commonalities are now showing their ugly heads.

From my perspective, having been born in 1960, the parallels have become quite obvious over time and the implications dangerous. History repeats itself. "They who will not learn from history are destined to repeat its mistakes,” saith the sage. However the Dems (is that short for Demagogues) have been joining in with CRT (critical race theory) in a concerted effort to not learn from our history but to rewrite and rethink it to make us all feel better. Or worse, whatever the case may be.

We have become an affluent culture awash in things to make us feel good. After the flesh. For many, narcissism has been overtaken by a sense of entitlement, as if the world, through government, owes them, not just a living, but also the comforts and things that others have gained through their own blood, sweat, and tears. The Haves are being blamed for the plight of the Have-nots. The middle class Haves, that is. Politicians and the extremely wealthy seem to have been given exemptions. There is, however, a grain of truth to all deception, may we find that grain of truth and endeavor to make this world a better place because the devil is ever diligent to make it worse. Through narcissism and the NEA (National Education Association), now flying by varied other titles, the devil has removed Bible reading, prayer, any mention of God and of God's creative powers from American public schools. And the devil has not been satisfied with the removal of Godly influence, but has been pushing his own influence. From the removal of Godly influence in the 60s to Roe v. Wade in ‘73 to sex ed included in “health studies” to free condoms to “Pride” flags, all manner of perversions are being taught to American children in schools. Marxism, the hippies, and American Socialism have another commonality. A wholesale disregard for authority structure as taught by the Word of God. Next time — The Word on Authority Structure.
