Life Matters - November 16, 2022
The storm starts when the drops start dropping; when the drops stop dropping then the storm starts stopping. That little “think appetizer” from the fantastical storyland of Dr. Seuss has its roots in the simple, yet profound, reality of what storms are generally like. Though that famous writer of children’s books seems not to have experienced any winter storms on the Great Plains, where snowflakes are driven sideways, and ground blizzards are an expected part of winter endurance.
Speaking of snowflakes, not even Dr. Seuss has escaped the pseudo-virtuous meltdown of Wokeians blubbering about “racism.” When those self-appointed “arbiters of truth” “discovered” said “racism” in some of his story-book fantasies, they succeeded in getting those canceled in various public-school libraries. Meanwhile CRT and BLM promote the very tenets and concepts of real racism by fixating on skin colors over strength of good character, so undermining the positive change brought about by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the powerful movement away from judging by skin color, that school children are now being instructed on the merits and demerits of skin color. Marxist concepts are being promoted by both those organizations and I suspect, with others more informed, that the outcries against “racism” and the push to “equity” (equal outcome instead of equality of opportunity) are merely a smoke-shield thinly veiling the true intentions animating those movements.
We live in the era of lies. The era wherein our President (Biden) speaks of voter integrity laws as “Jim Crow 2.0” that undermine “democracy.” “Democracy is on the ballot,” he says but parts of his so-called “democracy” plans include illegal immigrants and prison inmates being accepted as “legal” voters with, of course, no photo ID required. His “democracy” moved him to quote Joseph Stalin—yes, that Joseph Stalin—on their shared view about election “integrity” (not), when he said, “it is not he who votes that counts, but he who counts the votes.” That seems to be coming either from a senile old man quoting something because he thought it had a nice ring to it, or from an old man having an honest moment in which he exposed his dangerous sell-out to communist totalitarianism. Perhaps some may think of me as an old carry-over from McCarthyism, but this old man has been around long enough to know that men with policies as evil and against nature as this POTUS are not to be trusted.
And the lies continue. Lies about genders. Lies about BLM. Lies about MAGA. Lies about Marxism. Lies about CRT. Lies about Christianity. Lies about good men. Lies about evil men. Lies about Wuhan. Lies about COVID. Lies about good Presidents. Lies about bad Presidents. Lies about education. Lies about parents. Lies about responsibility. Lies about entitlement. Lies about the WEF agenda. Lies about big government. Lies about globalism. Lies about abortion. Lies about nature and lies about Jehovah God, who created us all. Lies from this administration and its media operatives. Meanwhile, Truth is censored, resisted, written against, spoken against, broadcast against, disregarded, despised, rejected, reviled, lied about, vilified… and so on.
In this era of lies, we are pressured to give a nod to the “righteous” being the insensate mobs, the proponents of BLM and of CRT. That the “righteous” are those who outlaw parents from school board meetings and the “unrighteous” are those parents who vehemently speak up against the LGBTQ+ and Marxist anti-Bible indoctrination of their own children that they are rightly responsible for and care naturally and deeply about.
Facts are in jeopardy these days.
Our Lord Savior Jesus Christ, however, has won the war in Heaven and the victory here is sealed. He is the same Jesus who faced the stormy wind, the dangerous waves on the Sea of Galilee and said, with calming authority, “Peace be still.” (Mark 4:39) He is the same Jesus assuring us that He himself is “the Way, the Truth, and the Life” (John 14:6) “And ye shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32) True freedom is finding the way to God through Christ, accepting His Truth, receiving His Life within and having Jesus speak into our hearts and minds, “Peace, be still.” And the storm starts stopping.
Life Matters!
