Life Matters - June 29, 2022

I didn’t read the news article because I had no desire to. But the grotesque image of young women dressed in white slacks with something blood-splashed onto their lower regions and running down their leg carrying baby dolls in squeeze-ready hands in front of them is as if it were seared onto my hapless brain. There were a few picket signs among the group as they walked together, making it clear that this was a pro-abortion group protesting the leaked SCOTUS (Supreme Court of the United States) draft opinion with its possible striking down of Roe v. Wade.

As of Friday, June 24, 2022, that striking down is now history. The Roe. v. Wade decision of 49 years ago, not only legalized abortion it also took away states’ rights to rule against it. That power has now been returned to the states. Thanks to Governor Kristi Noem and staff, who give recognition to God being the giver of Life, South Dakota was ready with a “trigger law,”—still in place from 2005, making abortion illegal here except when the mother’s life is in danger—immediately upon the prayed for SCOTUS opinion. A heartfelt “Thank you,” to Governor Kristi Noem and all involved, for the good you have done, and are doing, for grateful South Dakotans.

Besides the violence to babies, we have now seen the violence that abortion does to the human psyche. We have seen it in the screaming, cursing, middle-finger madness of picketing-to-kill mobs of mostly women who have lost the lovely feminine gentleness that draws respect and courtesy out of masculine men who want to keep it that way. But we find that the only way to keep it that way is to stay in God’s order—in God’s design. Pleasure, when sought after outside of God’s will, eventually becomes elusive, seemingly to the same degree it is sought after. Where are the men? Real men? Godly men? Ungodly men can temporarily be quite pleased with a “one night stand,” or series of them, but masculine men take responsibility for their actions. Godly men care about, and care for, as humanly possible, the woman in their life, and take responsibility for their own offspring. Abortion-on-demand does violence to that sense of responsibility, to that masculine caring instinct in men. It is not the only culprit, by any means, but it has been a very effective culprit indeed.

The lack of respect the present occupant of the White House has for God and the sanctity of life, juxtaposed against the attitude of his predecessor, has never been more stark than now. President Biden aired his grievances about the SCOTUS decision. President Trump expressed his appreciation for it. Biden supporters continues their hate-filled rhetoric. Trump supporters leaped, shouted, and cried with joy. Biden and supporters claimed it a loss for women’s rights, woman’s health. Trump and supporters celebrate the renewed respect for woman, and the love she carries. May support for her spiritual, emotional, physical health and welfare flow from the father of her child and from her church.

Men, we have a job to do. To be masculine, Godly men who accept responsibility for our actions. And, as Godly men, not only feel the weight of responsibility but shoulder it willingly, enjoying the joys that come with it. To be Godly.

And women, young ladies, you have a job to do, keep or refrain that lovely, feminine gentleness, that inner beauty, that Godliness, that Godly men find attractive and worthy of protection. Accept and apply yourself to responsibility as God gives it. Do not give in to carnal men, however smooth-talking they be, or however flattered you may feel, for what they want is your bodies without responsibility. Make sure you, and the man you accept, have eternal values. Consult Godly people you know. Jesus Christ is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification and redemption. (1 Cor. 1:30) With God all things are possible. Life Matters!
