Life Matters - July 17, 2024
The ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union)—or as some would say, American Constitutional Liberties Undercutting—has waded into the American Culture War yet again by challenging a Tennessee state law banning transgender surgeries, gender affirming ‘’care,” hormone therapy, and puberty blockers for—get this—minors under the age of 18. The case has been appealed to the Supreme Court of the United States by ACLU of Tennessee’s lawsuit against the state of Tennessee. The SCOTUS have agreed to hear the case though I haven’t heard on what merit. The conservatives, I assume, would see merit in the case based on the original, traditional and Constitutional view of the sexes and family structure while the liberals in their desire to overthrow all traditional concepts in favor of progressive (ie. regressive) ideas.
Biden to Stephenapoulis (and the nation) at CNN interview: “I had a bad debate” (June 27th Biden v. Trump) “But 90 minutes on stage does not erase what I have done for three and a half years.”
I would that it could, Mr. President. Mr. Clinton brought ‘’gays,” homosexuals, ‘’out of the closet,” Mr. Obama introduced us to his “loving” acceptance of LGBT people. And you, Mr. Biden, have continued to champion those perversions, only adding your own, or your administration’s, list of more letters and whatever else that all means, even to the disruption of the natural and incredibly beautiful God-given development of the children of this nation who are still struggling to understand the basic questions of life, such as, but not limited to: Who am I? Why am I here? What is life about? These are questions that I suspect have never been satisfactorily faced up to and settled in your own heart and mind. Questions you and many in your cabinet struggle with to this day. Questions that, left unanswered, leave the mind in confusion and the conscience accusing, “their thoughts the meanwhile accusing or else excusing one another.” (Romans 2:15)
Please hear me out Mr. President. No. Hear God out. God has answered all those questions in the Holy Bible. He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to the knowledge of the truth. (2 Peter 3) Knowledge of the truth leads to repentance first where we acknowledge God’s right and our wrong (Romans 3:4) allowing Him to lead us into a deep and heartfelt repentance.
Repentance that, if and when sincere, open the door to the beautiful vista of God’s grace, love, forgiveness, and acceptance of us. “Not through works of righteousness which we have done, but by His abundant grace and mercy He has saved us to an inheritance incorruptible, undefiled, that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for us. (1 Peter 1:4) If you find, Mr. President, that you cannot be sincere about it, I encourage you to pray for sincerity and then respond in humility when God brings painful realities of wrongs you have done, (even those no one else knows about) to your heart and to your mind. Confess, repent, and receive God’s love and forgiveness, for these are the very kind of sinners (all of us) that our Lord Jesus Christ gave up His own sinless body on the cross for. A sacrifice without spot or blemish, shedding His own blood for us so that we can be set free, while heaven remains pure. Pure in the eyes of our Holy, pure, righteous, eternal, Jehovah God who now sees us through the imputed righteousness of Christ that He also imparts to us, empowering us to now walk circumspectly, redeeming the time, for the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:16)
I encourage you Mr. President, to forsake, and to take a stand against the evil agenda of the ACLU, your administration, your own natural bent towards sin. All those whom God calls perverse in Romans chapter 1, etc. I encourage you to “resist the devil and he will flee from you” to “Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you.” (James 4:7-8) I encourage you to respect His creation, and to take a stand for the most vulnerable among us, our young, those with solid parental guidance, those confused about life and genders, as well as developing unborn babies. To repent of all known sin in your own heart and mind. To open the door of your heart to Jesus. That new birth in you, Mr. President, could take less or more than 90 minutes, clearing up your confusion by opening up vistas of wisdom that are eternal. Do it, Mr. President, before it is too late.
Life Matters!
P.S. This column was written on July 12th, the day before the attempted assassination of former President Donald J. Trump. Praise God for sparing his life! Thank you, Jesus! One man, Corey Comperatore, did not survive the shooting. A heroic man who died shielding his wife and daughter from flying bullets. Another man critically injured. Our hearts and prayers go out to these families.
Let us continue to explore current events through the lens of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Our King of kings and Lord of lords.
