‘’He who talks to you about others will talk to others about you.’’ – Amish proverb (attr. to). Attributed to The Mind Journal is this; ‘’Some people will never ask for your side of the story because the side that they heard fits the description of how they want to feel about you.’’

When people promoting ungodliness in ‘’high places’’ show and tell plainly, however, what they believe, feel, and stand for it is imperative that we believe them and not do the ostrich maneuver hoping for the best, because, as James Baldwin put it; ‘’Ignorance allied with power is the most ferocious enemy justice can have.’’ And I would add ’willful ignorance’ to that quote as a close second, possibly first.

One of the most deceptive accusations, or form of gossip, is accusing others of what oneself is doing. As a coverup? ‘’Over and over’’ said Mike Huckabee ‘’when the Dems say something about (accuse) Republicans it’s usually what they’re doing.’’ That was no empty remark as he gave the Russia hoax as an example. As reality comes to light many more examples could be cited. We have both sides of the story, no thanks to the mainstream media, which is fast losing its credibility as the unbiased source of political news that we trusted, in a bygone era, when the Walter Cronkites of journalism prevailed.

When a society or group of people is loosed from its religious (based upon the Bible being Truth) moorings it soon becomes what Theodore Roosevelt warned against; ‘’To educate a man in mind and not in morals is to educate a menace to society.’’

Of how much greater menace, then, is an education system dedicated to a secular (godless) education coupled with an attempt to ‘’normalize’’ all manner of sexual perversions? That is not hearsay, gossip, or one-sided accusation, it is well documented, if not flaunted, by godless leaders of teacher’s unions and we (as in, Americans) have ignored it to our hurt. COVID lockdowns, with remote learning at home for students, proved to be a ‘’Great Awakening’’ for parents shocked into a new understanding of the weird agenda pushed onto their hapless children in far too many public institutions.

Do enough parents care enough to not give up until there is change for the better? It’s still an open question. America has had a ‘red wave,’ yes, but let us Americans see it as an opportunity for positive change, not as an opportunity to ‘’sit back’’ and let the new administration take care of it. President-elect Donald Trump has high goals, yes, but those goals are dependent upon many factors, not the least of which is an American society wanting change for the better.

There are forces at work to destroy the conscience of Americans as a whole and young Americans in particular. A few examples of that destruction are the demoralizing effects of teaching that we just ‘’happened’’ without a Creator, that, because we ‘’just happened’’ at random there is no absolute truth, no God, no heaven to look forward to, no eternal punishment to avoid, that one’s personal feelings are paramount. Those feelings have led America to the brink of anarchy as ‘’normal’’ sensual sins are carried on the wake of every perversion of nature introduced by the devil and his minions, as desensitized people seek to renew dulled senses by engaging in actions and feelings that further dull the senses while temporarily awakening a few ‘’new’’ ones. It has been well documented (Digital Cocaine by Brad Huddleston; The Next Story by Tim Challis; - among others) that sensory perceptions are dulled by over-stimulation outside of God’s prescribed order and that enjoyment and quality of life are enhanced within its sensible bounds. Charity, (God-inspired love) after all is said and done, never fails. (I Corinthians 13:8)

I am truly thankful for the red wave in American politics. God has answered our prayers beyond what I and many others dared hope for. But this is not a time to relax and ‘’enjoy the ride.’’ This is a time to be awake, alert. A time, as always, to have our ‘’senses exercised to discern both good and evil.’’ (Hebrews 5:14) A time to seek God in how we can best be, or continue to be, involved in spreading His Word.

The ’red wave’ we need most of all is the crimson blood of the sinless One whose birth we celebrated last week. Whose teaching this world could only endure for 3 to 3.5 years. Who was crucified, not for His own sins, but for ours. He is called Jesus, the Son of the Living God.

May the Life of Jesus, by his Holy Spirit, prevail in every heart and mind this coming year. He and His story renew life, love, and sensory perceptions. May our feelings be tuned into, and stabilized, by God and His Word. Happy New Year! Jesus Lives!
